Vermont homeowners can access a variety of programs that help low and mid-income Vermont families afford to improve the energy efficiency and comfort of their homes to make sure their homes are healthy and safe to live in.

Weatherization Assistance Program:

Vermont’s Weatherization Program reduces energy costs for about 1,400 low-income Vermont families each year. The program is available for both homeowners and renters who meet the income guidelines. See the program guidelines for more detailed information.

Efficiency Vermont Assistance for Home Heating Equipment:

Efficiency Vermont administers a variety of rebates for the replacement of home heating equipment that improves your home's comfort and efficiency.

Fuel Assistance for your Home:

Fuel Assistance can help pay part of your home heating bills whether you:

  • Own your home or rent
  • Pay for heat directly or as part of the rent
  • Rent a room in someone's home
  • Live in public, subsidized, or Section 8 housing AND rent includes heat

Crisis Fuel Assistance can help you with a heating crisis during the winter months.
